During her time as an undergraduate student, she was a Correll Scholar who was heavily involved in organizations such as Women in Business, Black Educational Support Team, the University of Georgia chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, and Women in Economics. Kaylah also participated in a scholarship pageant, Miss Black University of Georgia, in which she helped raise money for black students and raise awareness about human trafficking. She is always searching for new ways to give back to the community, and she is currently volunteering for Athens Community Council on Aging.
