Master of Public Administration (MPA)
Katie Beth is passionate about nonprofit work, specifically that which promotes equal opportunity in education. She is interested in expanding her knowledge of advocacy from the perspectives of local and state governments. She currently works as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Carl Vinson Institute of Government, in the Government Training, Education, and Development department. She graduated from the University of Georgia in 2021 with Highest Honors and a major in Public Relations. During her undergraduate career, she discovered her passion for nonprofit work and became one of the first undergraduates admitted to the School of Social Work’s Nonprofit Management and Leadership Certificate program. While earning her bachelor’s degree, Katie Beth was an active member and leader in the Redcoat Marching Band, the professional music fraternity, Sigma Alpha Iota, in which she served as Treasurer and President, and the Honors Program, ultimately serving as a teaching assistant. Additionally, she continues to volunteer with local Athens nonprofit organizations. She enjoys travel and was able to study abroad in Rome, Italy, and achieve a minor in Classical Culture.
