Kaley is a native Georgian born in Atlanta. She attributes her Dawg pride and academic determination to her late grandfather, Dumah Adrian Walker, who graduated from the University of Georgia in 1950.

Kaley’s taste for trade security began with guidance from Dr. Gary Bertsch through the UGA mentor program. She advanced her interests through internships, the first with TradeSecure, a local trade compliance company, and then with U.S. Commercial Service under the U.S. Department of Commerce. She will continue applying her studies through an upcoming graduate assistantship with the Center for International Trade and Security in partnership with Savannah River National Lab. She is eager to work in intelligence or policy analysis after graduation.

Kaley values cultural exchange and believes that global citizenship is a tenet of working in the international context. She is fluent in Spanish and has worked and studied in Seville, Spain (2021) and Buenos Aires, Argentina (2024).
