Applied Politics

Jessica Batten, is a fourth year student at the University of Georgia. She is originally from Woodstock, Georgia. She is a Political Science and International Affairs major and a Sociology and Criminal Justice Studies minor. After graduation, she hopes to go to law school in the South and become a corporate lawyer or go into politics. Jessica previously worked on Casey Cagle’s campaign for governor, as an intern with the Republican Party of Georgia as a part of the Republican Leadership Initiative and as an intern for Congressman Jody Hice. She is currently interning in the DA’s office and helping with Houston Gaines’ campaign. She is a part of UGA Miracle and in her free time she loves traveling and being outdoors!
