Applied Politics

Jesse is a fourth year political science major. After spending two years at Georgia College in Milledgeville studying Outdoor Education, he transferred to UGA and switched his major to Political Science. He has always enjoyed studying politics and would love to incorporate his passion for the outdoors to do environmental policy work after college for either nonprofits or a governmental agency. In Athens, Jesse is a facility manager at Ramsey Student Center and plays for the UGA Club Ultimate Frisbee B team. He also mentors a student at Gaines Elementary school each week. Over the summer, Jesse is on summer staff at Camp Mikell in Toccoa, Georgia. Jesse is currently looking into possibly doing Peace Corps and plans to go to grad school, but has not decided what masters he wishes to pursue at this time.
