James Garrett

Master of Public Administration (MPA)

James Garrett has lived and worked in multiple countries and on three different continents throughout his life. He served with the US Marine Corps attaining the rank of Sergeant. He has held a wide range of civil and private positions including as a census mapping agent, and archaeology lab assistant, administrative associate, truck driver, and various retail jobs. He is now employed by the University of Georgia in the Sponsored Projects Administration as a grants administrator.

Team member of the Academic Decathlon Regional Champions (‘92-‘93) earning 6 personal medals, twice earned the Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal and a Sea Service Deployment Ribbon during the 2nd Gulf War in Iraq
