More About

Jakub is originally from Prague, Czech Republic. After finishing his undergraduate degree in International Relations and Political Science at Università Degli Studi Roma Tre in Rome (Italy), he relocated to the United States and successfully completed a master’s degree in Political Science at Southern Illinois University. After a short stay back home in Prague, he returned back to the United Stated to pursue his doctoral studies and is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Georgia. He mainly studies European politics and his research concentrates on political parties and elections, specifically on the far-right. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, listening to music, as well as both playing and watching sports.

Research Interests

Jakub is interested in political parties and elections in Europe. In his research he concentrates mainly on the effects of election timing on party performance and turnout and on far-right political parties.
