Master of Public Administration (MPA)

Throughout Jacquelyn’s college career, she has managed to achieve several awards and excel as a student and an athlete. Her hard work, passion, and dedication are also shown not only in the classroom or on the field but in public service. She has volunteered in a variety of community service programs. Jacquelyn continues to further expand her academic knowledge and communication skills to contribute to improving public health and policy making.

Career Goals:
I plan to assist large corporations and companies such as the CDC just to name one, to meet their occupational health and safety regulations, address the different social dynamic needs of their employees, develop health education programs, and identify community health resources and outreach programs. My goal is to utilize my Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies, to clearly, concisely, and effectively communicate with and to others on issues such as health disparities and policies that effect patients. This skill, along with my understanding of the amount of perseverance and determination it takes to achieve a health-related goal, will enhance my ability to inform and educate my counterparts on effective Policies, laws, and ethics.

Relevant Work Experience:
Woolfson Eye Institute, Patient Coordinator – June 2015 – July 2015

•Prepared and filed charts for new and existing patients
•Answered incoming calls and transferred them to the appropriate department/person
•Received medical records from referring physicians and faxed updated medical records to follow-up physician
