Master of Public Administration (MPA)

Grace is a Master of Public Administration student at UGA. She recently graduated summa cum laude from the University of Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree in public policy leadership and economics. Her passion for public service began when she represented the state of Louisiana in the United States Senate Youth Program in 2018. Grace then spent her years as an undergraduate discovering the many facets of public service, particularly through internships with the leadership development team at the Partnership for Public Service and the public policy team at the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. In her time at UM, Grace served as attorney general of the Associated Student Body, a role in which she administered student elections and advocated for a more inclusive student government. Her interest in health policy guided her undergraduate thesis research on breastfeeding promotion in the Mississippi Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program. Outside of the classroom, Grace volunteers as a senior advisor for Louisiana’s YMCA Youth and Government program, helping to coordinate the Louisiana Youth Legislature conference each year. Through the MPA program, she hopes to gain the necessary skills for a career in social policy in the nonprofit or public sector.
