Master of International Policy (MIP)

Elizabeth Howell is a Carter Vickers Research Society member and an alum of the Richard B. Russell Security Leadership Program at the University of Georgia with demonstrated interest in non-proliferation studies and counter-terrorism. She currently works on the Policy and Strategy Team on Noblis’ contract with the Defense Threat Reduction Agency’s Cooperative Threat Reduction Program and has previous experience with the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Office of Congressional Relations.

More About

Elizabeth was part of the 2021-2022 Richard B. Russell Security Leadership Program at the University of Georgia where she conducted research about the motivation of terrorist groups to pursue kidnapping and presented her research at the 2022 SPIA Undergraduate Research Colloquium. Also during her time at UGA, she was named a First Honor Graduate for maintaining a 4.0 GPA throughout all college coursework. She has participated in two internships. Her first internship was through the Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Office of Congressional Relations where she was responsible for updating and writing Standard Operating Procedures and received trainings on data analytics. Her second internship was with Noblis’ contract with the Defense Threat Reduction Agency’s Cooperative Threat Reduction Program where she served on the Policy and Strategy Team conducting research on emerging threats and opportunities and analyzing Russian and Chinese disinformation campaigns. She is currently supporting this team during the academic year part-time. In addition to her work with Noblis, she is also a Carter Vickers Research Society member and is looking forward to assisting a professor in their research endeavors. She has thoroughly enjoyed all of the opportunities she has had through the Center for International Trade and Security.
