Master of Public Administration (MPA)
Cydney Owens is from Cobb County, Georgia. She graduated from Dominion Christian School in May 2017, and afterwards, attended Agnes Scott College for her undergraduate degree. During her time at Agnes Scott College, she did many things to stay involved on campus, such as writing for the student-led newspaper in her first year and serving as an Orientation Leader for three consecutive years. She was given awards for her outstanding attitude and service on the Orientation team each year. She graduated in December of 2020 and was able to participate in the commencement ceremony in May of 2021. She received her Bachelor of Arts in English-Creative Writing, and minored in Classical Civilizations. Over the summer of 2021, Cydney worked as a Marketing and Communications Intern at the Atlanta History Center. In her leisure time, she enjoys dancing, photography, listening to music, and spending time with her friends. Cydney exudes compassion and confidence, and is determined to accomplish anything she sets her mind to. She is pursuing a Master’s in Public Administration not only to further her education, but also so that she can help make a positive impact in the community around her, even if it begins with just one person.
