Applied Politics

Chan is a Third-Year Political Science Student from Griffin, Georgia. Growing up, Chan developed a passion for community and wants to use Public Policy to empower people to guide their own lives without the overbearing influence of corrupt systems and governances. He believes his purpose on Earth is to “Do Good Work” and carries that as a guiding life principal. On campus, Chan has been heavily involved with Student Government Association both in Senate and as an Executive Board Member. He has also enjoyed his time with Tate Society, Chi Alpha Student Ministries, and as a College Staffer for the State YMCA’s Youth in Government programs. Recently, Chan fell in love with the Gold Dome as an Intern with the Lt. Governor’s Office for the 2019 Legislative Session where he had his first hands-on experience with policy making. Previously, he worked on several campaigns and learned that he is one of the few individuals who legitimately enjoys Door-knocking. He plans on attending Law School to become a Constitutional/Civil Rights Lawyer so that he can protect the rights of individuals from the darker aspects of our society.
