Master of Public Administration (MPA)

Cammie was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama where she later attended the University of Alabama and graduated with honors. After graduation, she joined the staff of LeadAbroad serving as a Program Director in five different countries for service-learning study abroad initiatives. In 2018, Cammie decided to focus her love for communities locally in the United States, and accepted the role as Director with Camp Horizon of Georgia. Camp Horizon provides no-cost, year-round programming to abused and neglected foster youth in Atlanta. Through her experience with Camp Horizon, Cammie recognized her passion for serving overlooked and underserved communities in the South. Though she’s an Alabama fan through and through, Cammie loves being in Athens and is thrilled to be a part of UGA’s MPA program. When she’s not reading for class or prepping for her role as a Teaching Assistant in the Political Science department, you can find Cammie listening to music, planning her next bungee jump, or heading to the lake with her rescue pup, Ridley.
