Master of Public Administration (MPA)
Brian is a Master’s candidate in the Public Administration program and currently serves as Assistant Director of Event Operations with Georgia Gwinnett College in Lawrenceville, Georgia. A native Athenian, Brian began his journey in the public sector by chance, largely influenced by his early experience in event management as a student employee with the University of Georgia Catering Department from 1997-2000. Following a five-year hiatus to his academic endeavors, Brian returned to complete his ABJ with the University of Georgia’s Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication, while simultaneously assuming a full-time staff position at the University coordinating the various daily activities of the Miller Learning Center. In his fulfillment of this role, he quickly came to the realization that his passion was in serving the needs of others; in this case, through the management and ongoing development of his student employees, and his service to both internal and external patrons of the University. Since that time, his career and responsibilities have continued to progress in the public higher education field, including stints as Senior Event Coordinator and Assistant Director for Event Services with UGA’s Tate Student Center, Marketing and Conference Services Manager with the Georgia State University Student Center, and his current position with GGC.
When he isn’t hard at work, diligently serving the needs of the GGC community, Brian enjoys spending as much time as possible with his wife of 17 years and their three children.
