Master of Public Administration (MPA)
Belle is beginning her time at the University of Georgia in the Master’s in Public Administration program in the fall of 2021. She graduated from the College of Charleston in their Honors College in May 2021 with a degree in Political Science and a concentration in Public Policy. She was able to complete her undergraduate studies in three years and graduated Magna Cum Laude while on the Dean’s List all semesters. During her time at the College of Charleston, she was involved in many different clubs and organizations. She was a member of Chi Omega sorority and served on the executive board. She was also a member of Charleston40 tour guide association where she served as the public relations coordinator during her final year. During her time in Charleston she had an internship with a United States Representative during their reelection campaign as part of the finance team. While finishing up her undergraduate studies, Belle conducted research in the Charleston community on the connections between evictions and educational outcomes. She interviewed community and nonprofit leaders and wrote about their experiences with these two topics while formulating her undergraduate Bachelor’s Essay. After this research she went on to publish an opinion editorial in a local Charleston newspaper about her findings. During her undergraduate career she found a passion for affordable housing and education reform while also fostering an excitement for nonprofit work. She looks forward to continuing to grow those passions, and many more, while in the MPA program through classes, jobs, internships, and volunteering.
