Applied Politics

Bailey Walker is a second year Journalism and Political Science double-major from Warner Robins, Georgia. Her interest in government and reporting began in high school during the 2016 election cycle and her passion for both areas has grown ever since. On campus, Bailey is involved in DiGamma Kappa, Shop With A Bulldawg, Grady Newsource, Gamma Phi Beta, and Order of Omega and she will be studying abroad at the University of Oxford this summer through the Grady College. She recently completed an internship with War Room Strategies, a political consulting firm, and learned the ins and outs of campaigns and state politics. Bailey is excited to participate in the Public Affairs Professional Certificate in Applied Politics and learn about politics in a more practical sense that she can apply to a career in investigative journalism.
