Austin Dobbs was born and raised in the Atlanta area. He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Political Science and International Affairs with a Graduate Certificate in Disaster Management. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Georgia in 2018 with a major in International Affairs and a minor in Disaster Management. During his undergraduate career, Austin was also an Undergraduate Research Assistant within the Institute for Disaster Management at the University of Georgia studying how pets and other animals influence people’s behavior and decision making during evacuations. Additionally, Austin was heavily involved around campus. His involvement with several anti-modern slavery organizations helped inspire him to pursue further education focusing on human rights.

When Austin is not working on school, he loves spending time outdoors or with friends. He is always looking for a new adventure or place to explore. Austin also loves sports. Saturdays in the Fall you will either find him between the Hedges or in front of a television cheering on the Dawgs. He is also a coffee and tea enthusiast, and enjoys gathering different brews and teas from around the world.
