Master of International Policy (MIP)

Ashleigh Hays is a first-year student and in the Master of International Policy program with a concentration in human security. After completing her BBA in Finance and International Business and AB in Russian at UGA, she is now pursuing her master’s degree as a graduate research assistant for the MIP program.

Ashleigh recently graduated from the University of Georgia with a dual degree in International Business and Finance and a degree in Russian language. During her time at UGA, she was part of the Russian Flagship Program, an advance language learning program designed to help students achieve near native fluency in only four years. While in Flagship, Ashleigh participated in a study abroad in the Baltics and enjoyed experiencing the culture and food of Eastern Europe with her friends. She is also an alumnus of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society and Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity, where she served as vice president of recruitment and treasurer. Apart from her studies Ashleigh enjoys reading (a lot), going to the gym, and lifting heavy weights. She is a competitive powerlifter who has competed at the state and national levels and currently serves as the president of UGA’s club powerlifting team.

Graduated Summa Cum Laude and with Honors from the University of Georgia. She is fluent in Russian and has advanced proficiency in Spanish.
