Alyssa Mora is a rising senior from Roswell, Georgia pursuing degrees in both Political Science and International Affairs with a minor in Spanish. While at the University of Georgia, Alyssa has been able to be involved in every facet that the University has to offer, from Greek Life to UGA Hero’s, eventually culminating to serving as a University of Georgia tour guide for prospective students and their families at the Visitors Center for the past two years. Through this role, she has been able to see that she is passionate about serving as a representative of industries and companies, and has decided that she would like to pursue a career within government affairs and advocacy after her graduation in May 2021. During the summer of 2020, Alyssa will be interning in her dream city of Washington D.C., made possible by the School of Public and International Affairs Experiential Learning Scholarship. In conjunction with that experience, she was able to participate in the Oxford University UGA Program in Spring 2020. She has been able to take advantage of a lot of the opportunities that UGA has to offer and is eager to further her understanding of politics by applying what she has learned through her experiences thus far to the Public Affairs Professional Certificate in Applied Politics. Alyssa is so excited to be able to have a bright future in government affairs while continuing to advocate for the best needs of her community!
