Alyssa Knowles is a Master of International Policy student at the University of Georgia’s School of Public and International Affairs. Her research interests involve human intelligence and terrorism prevention in South American countries.

Alyssa Knowles is a Master of International Policy student at the University of Georgia whose interests lie in human intelligence and terrorism prevention. She is a native of Lilburn, GA and proudly attended Parkview High School. Alyssa studied Spanish language and culture at Georgia Southern University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Modern Languages. She studied international affairs and writing and linguistics as her double minors with intentions of studying policy writing.  While at the University of Georgia, Alyssa worked with both Dr. Maryann Gallagher and Leah Carmichael as their research assistants researching political leaders, terrorism, and international law. She is currently working with Dr. Molly Berkemeier as her research and teaching assistant. Alyssa will graduate in May 2020.

Research Interests

Alyssa’s research interests lie in terrorism prevention and human intelligence. As her undergraduate degree focused in on South American languages and cultures, she would like to apply her studies in human intel and terrorism prevention to South American countries.
