Master of Public Administration (MPA)
Mr. Lassiter is pursuing a Master of Public Administration at the University of Georgia, in order to expand his knowledge base in the areas of Public Management, Organizational Administration, and Governmental Affairs. He feels that by obtaining the knowledge necessary to effect positive leadership within his own department will not only make his organization better, but will improve the quality of services that his police department offers to the students, faculty, and staff of Georgia State University.
In addition to what the University of Georgia offers its graduate students, Mr. Lassiter believes that his extensive training, education, and broad range of experiences in many different arenas will provide his fellow graduate students with an interdisciplinary approach to a complex, perpetually shifting operational environment between Emergency Management, Law Enforcement, and Intelligence Analysis skill sets from a collegiate policing perspective. Mr. Lassiter also holds a black belt in Taekwondo, and is pursuing a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. A wise man once said that ‘we don’t rise to our level of expectations, but we fall to our level of training.’ Mr. Lassiter is a firm believer in this esoteric ideology of knowledge, skills, and capabilities.
