Master of Public Administration (MPA)
Aashna has been born and brought up in New Delhi, India. She is an Economics major from Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), Delhi University and has pursued the Young India Fellowship (YIF) at Ashoka University. At YIF, she worked with Yunus Social Business and the University’s Centre for Entrepreneurship and was a Teaching Assistant for the course Economic Reasoning and Public Policy. Post the fellowship, she joined Sattva Consulting, a social impact consulting firm in India, that works at the intersection of research and strategy to achieve scalable and sustainable solutions for impact. At Sattva, she worked on various projects with stakeholders including the Government, corporates and non-profit organizations; across verticals such as program design, project management, impact assessment and strategy design. She was also a part of the team at Sattva that worked on publishing a secondary research study on “Implications of Covid-19 on the funding landscape of Anti-Human Trafficking in India”. With over three years of work experience in the social impact sector, Aashna has joined SPIA as a graduate student and research assistant to pursue her MPA and leverage her learnings from the program to become an effective policy practitioner.
