Zainub is a second-year undergraduate, studying International Affairs and Economics. Her research interests are in international conflict resolution and threat mitigation, with a focus on counterterrorism and ethnic border conflicts. She served as a Research Fellow for the Carl Vinson Institute of Government International Center, through which she analyzed the Kashmiri border dispute during Spring 2020. Through the 2020 CURO Summer Fellowship, Zainub considered the U.S. drone program and leadership decapitation as an effective counterterrorism strategy. Zainub is also a member of the 2020 cohort of the Security Leadership Program (SLP). Through SLP, she researched the relationship between shock absorption economic policies and protest onset in oil-wealthy rentier states.
