Miranda Bourdeau is a fourth-year Honors student from Canton, Georgia studying International Affairs, Political Science, and Economics as a Charles McDonald Brown Scholar. She is also pursuing a minor in Chinese Language and Literature as well as certificates in Asian Studies and Global Studies. Previously, Miranda interned for the U.S. Department of State in the Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs’ Office of Regional and Security Policy. Her academic and research pursuits focus mainly on Asia, specifically on the foreign and domestic policy of China, with additional interests in export control and space policy and law. Miranda‘s previous research projects include a comparison of the space weapons capabilities of the US, China, and Russia and US policy options in the South China Sea.
