On August 25, 2021, the SPIA Alumni Board of Directors hosted the first installment of the 2021-2022 Alumni Speaker Series at the Metro Atlanta Chamber. The event titled “Crime, Politics, and Policy” featured a discussion between Greg Bluestein, political reporter for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Jack Lumpkin, Deputy COO of Public Safety for Dekalb County, and Charles Bullock, University Professor moderated by Susan Haire, director of the Criminal Justice Studies program.
