March 2025 MPA Student of the Month: Cammi Rogers

Congratulations to Cammi Rogers for being selected as March MPA Student of the Month!

Cammi Rogers is a second-year student in the Master of Public Administration (MPA) program at the University of Georgia, dedicated to public service and community development. Her passion for this field began with her internship at the Archway Partnership, a UGA Public Service and Outreach initiative that collaborates with rural counties in Georgia to address their unique community and economic development needs. This experience sparked her interest in local and state government. Throughout her academic journey, Cammi has focused on research related to education funding in Georgia and has gained valuable legislative experience through her internship in the Office of Senator Raphael Warnock. In this role, she contributed to the Senator’s education and labor policy portfolio, gaining hands-on experience in the legislative process and the complexities of policy-making. Following these experiences, Cammi graduated summa cum laude from the University of Georgia in 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and minors in International Affairs and Sociology. In addition to her coursework, Cammi is a Graduate Research Assistant at the UGA Carl Vinson Institute of Government, where she serves as the program coordinator for the Vinson Fellows Program. This experiential learning initiative offers undergraduate students the opportunity to engage in state and local government through applied research and training programs. In this role, Cammi has redesigned the Vinson Fellows program to enhance its rigor while ensuring it provides meaningful support to fellows and faculty mentors. She is also actively involved in the administration of other student programs, including the PROPEL Rural Scholars Program, which is designed to nurture the next generation of leaders in rural Georgia. After earning her MPA, Cammi will begin her professional career as a Community Development Specialist at the Middle Georgia Regional Commission, where she plans to apply her knowledge gained from courses in Local Government Management, Public Financial Administration, and Bids and Contracting. Cammi is excited by the opportunity to connect local governments with state and federal resources with the goal of creating welcoming and vibrant communities in her new position.
