Dr. He is a joint professor in the Department of International Affairs and the Department of Public Administration and Policy. His research interests lie in the areas of comparative politics, political economy, and international relations. His work studies authoritarian politics, bureaucracy, civil and international conflicts, and political development. He is currently working on a book project that examines the distributive consequences of economic growth in authoritarian states.
