Preparing for a Career in the Intelligence Community: A Special Event for SPIA Students

September 30, 2016 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

We are excited to be hosting Mr. Justin Shanken (AB ’08). Mr. Shanken is a counterintelligence special agent with the Department of Defense’s Defense Security Service Office of Counterintelligence. After serving in the military, he graduated from SPIA with a major in international affairs.

Mr. Shanken will discuss his career pathway and how one can be competitive for positions similar to his with Department of Defense and elsewhere. He’ll offer advice on applied experiences that enhance a candidate’s resume and talk generally about his work as an agent.

This is a can’t miss opportunity to get first-hand information from a SPIA alum about his experiences as a student at SPIA & how you can find a career in intelligence fields.

Please RSVP to me, Paul Welch, via e-mail at [email protected], if you will attend. Space is limited! I’ll also have Jittery Joe’s coffee and snacks to share.
