As election season hits it peak, Dr. Bullock takes center stage in a front-page article of the New York Times entitled, “Senate Control May Be Decided by Runoff Votes in Louisiana and Georgia.” As Election Day draws near (Nov. 4th), the article takes a look at possible runoff situations in states such as Georgia and Louisiana. In Georgia particularly, Dr. Bullock comments on the roll a runoff will play with the Democratic voter base. “Democrats have a harder time of getting people to show up regularly in the midterm election, and this is a subset of that – a midterm runoff election,” said Charles Bullock. “What Georgia Democrats have tried to do is put together something like the get-out-the-vote effort that the Obama campaign has used. So it will be a real test for them if they have to get those voters back for a runoff.”
