CITS participates in IAEA Conference on Nuclear Material

CITS participated in a conference in Vienna, Austria at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) during the week of November 13 to share ideas on ways to strengthen the physical protection of nuclear material worldwide. Participants discussed the status of the Convention on the Physical Protection of Nuclear Material. The conference also showcased 3D virtual reality tools and new technological breakthroughs used in training on nuclear security, physical security of nuclear facilities, and cyber security of nuclear facilities. The conference was held in cooperation with the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL), the World Nuclear Transport Institute and the World Institute for Nuclear Security.

CITS also showcased a recent paper on Nuclear Security Culture as a Tool to Address Insider Threat.
