Bachelor of Arts (AB) in Political Science

The Workforce Division of the Georgia Department of Economic Development is mainly funded through the federal Workforce Investment Act grant. Through the Workforce Investment Act, unemployed and underemployed adults, youths, and dislocated workers can jump start their future by obtaining career training and skills upgrades. The Director of Programs overseas the statewide programs that flow through that grant, as well as monitors all of the local sub-recipients of those federal funds. The Director of Programs also develops new programs that work to meet the workforce needs of Georgia businesses and/or serves specific populations such as at-risk youth, veterans, and ex-offenders.
