My Top Three Career Tips
  1. continually work on your writing and speaking skills – correct, clear, logical, well supported, interesting, and impactful use of your language – a primary key to your success no matter your field of endeavor
  2. don’t just learn, analyze carefully and fully, and cultivate your creativity – those successful in their fields did not become experts by just regurgitating others’ ideas
  3. if only by fully educated and thoughtful voting, actively participate in government – it has so much to do with how we progress as a society
Volunteer Activities / Service on Boards

David has been an advisory member of the Law Revision Committee, and member of the Legislation Committee, of the Georgia Bar, a local bar association president, a member of the Law-related Education Consortium of the Carl Vinson Institute of Government at the University of Georgia, a faculty member of the Georgia Institute of Continuing Legal Education, a service provider for Parent to Parent of Georgia, an Advocate for Special Needs Children, a member of pro bono projects of local bar associations, a member of the Board of Directors of the Georgia County Welfare Association, a youth sports coach, a Jaycee president, a chapter Jaycee of the Year, and who was elected to Who’s Who In American Law.

Favorite Athens Haunt & Getaway

T.K. Hardy’s (gone but not forgotten) – would regularly meet there with a small group of students and professors to discuss things erudite and mundane. My favorite getaways are Destin, FL, Atlanta, N. GA mountains including Cloudland Canyon, Savannah.

Great professors, great opportunities.
