Zack Anderson

Master of Public Administration (MPA)

Zack is a working professional in northeast metro Atlanta. Aside from studying public administration, he currently works as an Information security consultant responsible for auditing organizations to certify compliance across numerous IT standards including PCI, NIST, and MARS-E. his primary research interest is IT policy and governance in the public sector. He has worked on compliance projects with several government agencies and hopes to combine this experience with the MPA to develop and improve Georgia’s cybersecurity initiatives.

 

Zack’s public sector experience includes most notably his 7+ years in the US Army. He has served in the Georgia National Guard, the US Army, and now the US Army Reserves. He is qualified as a combat engineer and as a chemical (CBRN) specialist. While attending Kennesaw State University, he completed several local government internships for the City of Covington and Newton County. These include work for the Covington Police Department, Newton County Emergency Dispatch, and the Tax Commissioner’s Office.

 

In his spare time, Zack enjoys hunting, working outside, and watching the greatest team in Baseball, the Atlanta Braves. He also has a passion for writing and holds modest aspirations of one day becoming a published film critic.
