Rebecca McIver

Master of Public Administration (MPA)

I was born and raised in Atlanta as an only child where I graduated from Woodward Academy with honors. From there, I left the southeast to get my undergraduate degree from Lafayette College. My undergraduate studies included a BA in International Affairs with a concentration in Global Environmental Studies and French and a Mechanical Engineering minor. During my time in Easton, PA I danced collegiately all four years and was involved in my Sorority, Alpha Gamma Delta as well as other campus clubs such as Society of Women Engineers and Alternative School Breaks.

After graduation in May of 2015 I came back south to start my service career with CAC AmeriCorps in Knoxville, TN. Here I served in the Community Development department at the City of Knoxville. My year of service there was so insirational that I decided to do a second year with AmeriCorps but serving with Habitat for Humanity in Barrow County, GA. I will be completing this service year as I begin my MPA at UGA.

Other proud accomplishments include extensive traveling both domestically and internationally as well as 13 years as a Girl Scout. I am not only a proud lifetime member of the Girl Scouts, but was also a Gold Awardee and top cookie seller.
