Originally from North Alabama, Laura Ann Prickett is a graduate of Samford University in Birmingham. Believing strongly in the power of education to halt systemic poverty and eradicate patterns of social inequality, she hopes to use the skills and experiences offered by her MPA to bridge the gap between education policy research/development and policy implementation in local school districts.

Research Interests

As an undergraduate, I found significant interest in education policy and administration, particularly in how a state’s political priorities influence education finance and higher education administrative decisions.
