Josh Hudson

Applied Politics

Josh Hudson is set to graduate in May 2019 as a Political Science and Consumer Foods double-major with the Applied Politic Certificate. Throughout his time at UGA, he has served in various representative roles such as Student Government Association Senator, Division of Student Affairs Student Advisory Board Representative, and College of Family & Consumer Sciences Ambassador. Beyond such leadership roles, Mr. Hudson has studied abroad in a Costa Rican hospital, helped conduct nutritional research, interned with the UGA Athletics’s Performance Nutrition department, achieved the most prestigious undergraduate position in the Department of Recreational Sports, and worked as a Legislative Fellow for Georgia State House Rep. Spencer Frye (District 118). Looking ahead, he has very high aspirations to pursue representative roles in public administration and work to be a future leader in the Democratic Party. Josh is very passionate about leading, representing, and fighting for improvement in the lives of his constituents. With his background in nutrition and upbringing in the rural town of Chatsworth, Georgia, Josh hopes to combat poverty and improve the healthcare and educational opportunities for people who tend to be forgotten in the current political reality.
