Carrie Campbell

Master of Public Administration (MPA)

Carrie Campbell is an MPA student interested in serving the University of Georgia until her retirement in 2041. Her long-term goal is to be the director of an experiential learning program at the university such as study abroad.

Following graduation from the University of Georgia, Carrie briefly worked as a freelance photographer and writer in Atlanta and Berkely, CA before accepting a position as a staff reporter at a daily newspaper in Concord, NC. After rising to the position of creative director in that organization, she moved to Charlotte magazine, Charlotte Wedding and Charlotte Home + Garden magazines in Charlotte, NC for seven years, where she was in charge of design, visual branding and art direction for all three titles and a combined 16 annual issues. In 2012, she returned to Athens, where she currently serves as the senior public relations coordinator for University Housing, a position whose responsibilities include press releases, print publication conception and design, social media, marketing and recruitment.

I am interested in issues related to access to higher education as well as experiential learning in higher education.
