Austin Emery

Applied Politics

Austin Emery is a fourth year undergraduate student pursuing a double major in International Affairs and Political Science. He is from Cumming, Georgia where he graduated from Lambert High School. He is a Security Leadership Scholar at the UGA Center for International Trade and Security and writes for the Georgia Political Review. Austin is also an undergraduate researcher at the School of Public and International Affairs, where his research interests focus on economic statecraft and democracy. In his free time, he enjoys whitewater kayaking, backpacking, and skiing. He plans to pursue graduate work in foreign policy and law following completion of his undergrad degree. In the future, Austin hopes to work in the intelligence or diplomatic community and possibly run for public office.
