Nancy Power Thompson

Assistant to the Dean

School of Public and International Affairs

Nancy R. Power joined the UGA School of Public and International Affairs upon its inception in 2001. In her role as Assistant to the Dean for Finance and Administration, she serves as the head fiscal and administrative staff official for the School. In addition, she oversees summer school course offerings, monitors enrollment figures each semester, works with the SPIA Curriculum Committee, chairs the SPIA Student Activity Fee Allocation Committee, and monitors the Student Technology Fee funds. Among her other duties, she is SPIA’s Human Resources representative and supervises the IT staff. Prior to her current position, Power served as an Accounting Assistant at the School of Law for 3 years and as the Office Manager for the Department of Political Science for 18 years. Power received her bachelor’s degree from the UGA Terry College of Business.
