Brian Starks

Brian Starks is a research assistant at the Center for International Trade and Security. He is a Political Science doctoral student and Assistant Editor of Intelligence and National Security. Before returning to graduate school, Brian worked in strategic trade and sanctions compliance for the aerospace industry. Brian has previously interned at Sandia National Laboratories and Los Alamos National Laboratory, where he conducted policy-oriented nonproliferation analysis.  Brian’s research interests include export violations and enforcement; government-industry outreach efforts; and the role of government, industry, and academia in the implementation of strategic trade and sanctions regulations.
