Ronquillo awarded prestigious fellowship at RGK Center
John Ronquillo, a Ph.D. student in Public Administration and Policy, recently completed a month-long summer fellowship at the RGK Center for Philanthropy and Community Service at the University of Texas-Austin. One of seven fellows chosen nationwide, each participant was awarded a $3000 cash award, along with an opportunity to develop working papers for inclusion in a new working paper series of the RGK Center. Ronquillo’s paper focused on the drivers of innovation in the public and nonprofit sectors. Currently, Ronquillo is in Italy participating in the European Summer School on Social Economy hosted by the University of Bologna. The program focuses on the future of social enterprise.
Prior to starting his doctoral studies in SPIA’s Department of Public Administration and Policy, Ronquillo worked as a Policy and Research Analyst and lobbyist for the Arizona Association of Counties. He earned his BA degree and MPA degree at Arizona State University.
