Joshua A Dix

Lecturer, Department of International Affairs

Joshua Dix is a lecturer in the Department of International Affairs at the University of Georgia. He received his B.A. from the University of California, Santa Cruz. After college, he joined the Peace Corps and served in Tashkent, Uzbekistan as a University English teacher. Following political strife in the country, his Peace Corps cohort left the country, and he transferred directly to Moldova, where he served in Comrat, Moldova, again as a university English Teacher. After Peace Corps, he attended the University of Georgia, where he received both his Masters in Political Science and his Ph.D. in International Affairs. Dr. Dix’s research agenda focuses on the intersection of neuroscience, environments, the lack of trust, and civil wars. Topics within this agenda include: trust, civil wars, civil society, and environmental politics.
