Brian Starks is a research assistant at the Center for International Trade and Security. He is a Political Science doctoral student and graduate teaching assistant for the School of Public and International Affairs. Brian has previously researched nonproliferation and trade control policy at both Sandia National Laboratory and Brookhaven National Laboratory. Before returning to begin his doctoral program, Brian was an export compliance specialist at UTC Aerospace Systems. His research interests include export violations and enforcement; government-industry outreach efforts; and the role of government, industry and academia in the implementation of trade regulations.
