The Legislative Office of State Representative Spencer Frye seeks highly motivated undergraduate students, graduate students, law students and recent graduates to join our team and take part in a variety of opportunities including legislative and policy research and community service.  Fellows may gain academic credit for their work, dependent on school or department requirements.  This Fellowship is primarily based in Athens with opportunities to travel to the State Capitol in Atlanta during legislative session.

Time:

Spring Semester (January-March/April 2015)

Legislative Research Fellows

Conduct research on legislation in the Georgia General Assembly and track media outlets for articles, research and other happenings related to policy topics

Attend Spencer Frye’s Policy Research Academy, an opportunity to learn about various policy areas, how to conduct research and how to publish and share your work

Publish research and volunteer experiences in our legislative blog Capitol Corner

Volunteer with community organizations to gain a deeper knowledge of policy related challenges and opportunities as they relate to the Athens community.
