Taking one of Dr. Lock Johnson’s classes.

My Top Three Career Tips
  1. Make sure to connect with faculty and do not be afraid to ask for assistance (i.e. with class material, letter of recommendation, career tips).
  2. As you learn class material, always try to find a parallel to real-world situations to help provide real time context. It helps learn the class material while also helping you to apply the methodologies/theories to other facets of government and community relations.
  3. Try to find a major or area of focus that you love then figure out a way to carve out a career within that focus.
