Keith Gaddie is President’s Associates Presidential Professor and chairman of the Department of Political Science at the University of Oklahoma, First Fellow of OU’s Dunham College, associate director of the OU Center for Intelligence & National Security, and general editor of Social Science Quarterly. He taught previously at Tulane University and has also been visiting professor at Centre College. Keith is the author or coauthor of eighteen books including Triumph of Voting Rights in the South (with Chuck Bullock), The Three Governors Controversy: Skullduggery, Machinations, and the Decline of Georgia’s Progressive Politics (with Bullock and Scott E. Buchanan), and the forthcoming Rise and Fall of the Voting Rights Act (with Bullock and Justin J. Wert). He spent 14 years as a litigation consultant in voting rights and election law matters, serving the attorneys general and legislatures of several states. He has also worked as a broadcast analyst and news contributor for state and national media, and is a seven-time award winner with the Society for Professional Journalists for his work at KGOU. Keith is married to Dr. Kim Gaddie, and they have four children (one sophomore at OU) and three dogs, including their deaf English bulldog Georgia.
