Most Memorable SPIA Class Moment?

My most memorable moment as a SPIA student was probably my very first day in the Freshman College Summer Experience where, after walking out of Dr. Bullock’s class for the first time, I had an intense passion in knowing that this is what I wanted to study and an intense fear because I needed to read a 250 page Jimmy Carter biography in 24 hours. I still get excited thinking about what would lay ahead.

Volunteer Activities / Service on Boards

I volunteer as an AT&T volunteer for Junior Achievement, as well as the City of Chamblee Parks and Recreation Department (where I formerly served as Board Member) and I volunteer with Keep Chamblee Beautiful, the Friends of Georgia State Parks and Habitat for Humanity

Favorite Athens Haunt & Getaway

All my favorite Athens hangouts don’t exist anymore or shouldn’t make this list. My favorite* Athens hangouts were on the Oconee River, the Botanical Gardens and anywhere downtown.

The Broad River, lazy floating down the stream is the best way to spend a sweltering, humid summer day in Athens.

A Quotable Quote About My Spia Experience
SPIA is like family, a tight knit group of people hell bent on changing the world. Nothing compares to the passion and vision instilled in you by SPIA professors.
