Donavan Eason was raised in the rural South Georgia town of Rochelle and currently serves as Chair of the Washington & Lee University School of Law Moot Court Executive Board, Burks Scholar, and Exchequer of Phi Delta Phi. He spent his summer in Atlanta interning with McGuireWoods Consulting and clerking for Judge John Ellington of the Georgia Court of Appeals. During his previous 1L summer, Donavan worked for Reynolds, Horne & Survant – a personal injury law firm located in Macon, Georgia. Prior to attending Washington & Lee, Donavan graduated from the University of Georgia and served as a policy advisor in the Georgia General Assembly on Lieutenant Governor Casey Cagle’s staff in addition to aiding Cagle’s campaign and transition teams. He most recently served as Director of Development, focusing on fundraising and lobbying efforts, for the Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Georgia. Donavan spends his spare time in Charlottesville with his wife, Ashley, and their beagle, Mattie.
