Most Memorable SPIA Class Moment?

I took Dr. Crespin’s Legislative Process 4600 class my junior year. He really brought it to life. I also met my husband in this class!

During finals, I was with a large study group and we had a cake for someone’s birthday. We invited him to our study room at the Student Learning Center (SLC) to answer some of our questions and have cake. And he really came!! It was so fun! I will never forget it!

My Top Three Career Tips
  1. Do an internship in Washington, D.C. It was by far one of my favorite experiences in college. Especially as a political science student. Life experience will take you a long way!
  2. Go to lots of functions, and meet as many people as you can.
  3. Advocate for yourself. Put yourself out there.

Favorite Athens Haunt & Getaway

During my graduate education, my classes often met at Walkers for hours. While my husband and I were dating, we spent a lot of time there as well.

In the winter we went to the mountains, the lake in the spring, and the beach for spring break and summer!

A Quotable Quote About My Spia Experience

The best experience of my life–where I gained knowledge of the world, government, and politics, while simultaneously making life-long friends.
